Saturday:
It was a hot day for the Flyers as they drove to Zurich to face the Barracudas in a two game series. Game one fared to be a quick one as the Flyers run ruled the Barracudas in four innings twelve to nothing. Game two went the full seven innings, but the Flyers remained strong winning 5 to 0. The Flyers face off for the number one seed against the Luzerne Eagles tomorrow morning.
Sunday:
It was a quick turnaround for the flyers after their double header on Saturday, as the girls loaded up early that morning to drive to Luzerne to face the Eagles. Going into Sunday’s game, the Eagles held the number one seed. The game held a rough start for the Flyers when the Eagles opened the game with one run in the top of the first. However, that would be the only run the Eagles would score in Sunday’s game. The Flyers quickly rallied and scored one in the fourth, followed by two in the sixth to solidify Sunday’s win, and consequently the first seed.The Flyers will head down to Wil to face four seed, the Devils on Saturday in a three game series.
